Learn how to explore the Transactions section: view transaction details, filter, export, and download proof of payments.

The Transactions section allows you to review, search, and export all your payments and related operations.

The transactions list

In the table, you can find different details for each transaction:

  • Status: Shows the current status of the transaction. See all possible statuses and their explanations in Transaction statuses.

  • Reference: Transaction identifier generated by dLocal.

  • Invoice: Identifier provided by the merchant, used to match payments in the merchant’s systems with dLocal.

  • Creation date: The date the transaction was created.

  • Payment method: Code of the payment method used. Hover to see the full name.

  • Country: Payment processing country code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2). Hover to see the full country name.

  • Amount paid / Local amount: Amount paid by the customer in the original payment currency.

  • Amount USD: Amount converted to USD using the exchange rate shown in the transaction details.

  • Type: Type of transaction (payment, refund, authorization, etc.).

Access to details: Click anywhere in the row to open the complete information of a transaction. See this article for all details available in a transaction.

💡Tips:

  • Hover over truncated cells to view (and copy) the full value.

  • Use the arrow in column headers to sort transactions. The arrow only appears in sortable fields.

  • The table displays up to 10,000 transactions per search. To see more, adjust filters or export (export has no limit).

  • Use pagination controls to choose how many transactions to display per page (from 5 up to 100).


Search and filters

You can search transactions by:

  • Identifiers (Reference, Invoice)

  • Transaction type

  • Status

  • Payment method

  • User data (account, email, document, name)

  • Country and currency

💡 Tip: If you use an exact value (such as Invoice ID), the search will be faster and more precise.

Transaction details view

When opening a transaction, you will see fields grouped into sections:

General

  • Status: Current status of the transaction.

  • Amount: Transaction amount converted to USD using the exchange rate shown in the details.

  • Creation date: When the transaction was created.

  • Payment method: The payment method used.

Transaction details

  • Reference: Identifier generated by dLocal.

  • Invoice: Identifier provided by the merchant.

  • Transaction type: Payment, refund, authorization, capture, fee.

  • Approved date: When the transaction was approved.

  • Status code: Technical status code.

  • Status details: Extended description of the status.

  • Description: Additional description of the transaction.

  • Fraud verdict reason (Limited availability): Reason provided when the transaction was flagged for fraud.

Payment details

  • Payment method: Full name of the payment method.

  • Amount paid: Amount paid by the customer in the original currency.

  • Payment reference: Unique identifier provided by the payment method.

  • Exchange rate: Rate used for conversion to USD.

  • Balance fee: Fee deducted from the balance for this transaction.

  • Card details:

    • Last four digits

    • Expiration date

    • BIN (first 6 digits of the card)

    • Card type (credit/debit)

    • Card category

    • Issuer (bank or institution)

  • Auth code: Authorization code of the transaction.

  • # of Installments: Number of installments used for the payment.

  • ECI: Electronic Commerce Indicator.

User details

  • Country code: Payment processing country code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2).

  • User account: Unique user ID at the merchant side.

  • User email

  • User name

  • User document

Related transactions

Quickly access linked operations (for example, the original payment that generated a refund).

  • Reference: Identifier of the related transaction generated by dLocal.

  • Amount paid / Local amount: Amount of the related transaction in local currency.

  • Transaction type: Type of the related transaction.

Split details (only in split model platforms)

  • Split ID: Unique identifier generated by dLocal.

  • Split status

  • User account ID: Unique subaccount ID.

  • User account name: Name of the subaccount.

  • Tax ID: Legal identifier of the subaccount.

  • External ID: Identifier provided by the platform (merchant).

  • Amount: Payment amount belonging to this subaccount.

  • Fees: Fees applied to this share of the payment.

  • Taxes: Taxes applied to this share of the payment.


Available actions in a transaction

From the detail view you can perform different actions:

  • Apply a refund: Request a refund. Learn more in How to issue a refund.

  • Manual capture (Limited availability): Capture a previously authorized payment.

  • Download receipt: Download the Proof of Payment in PDF.


Proof of Payment

A Proof of Payment is a PDF file that you can share with your customers as confirmation that a transaction was completed. It is only available for paid or completed transactions (not pending or rejected).

How to get it:

  1. Go to Transactions.

  2. Open the transaction details.

  3. At the bottom right, click Download receipt.


Exporting reports

  1. Apply filters to refine your search.

  2. Click Export and add the destination email address(es).

  3. Within a few minutes, you will receive an email with a link to download the CSV or Excel (.xls) file.
